Women, Gender and Microbiology - Madrid
At CSIC, the “Women, Gender and Microbiology” cluster aims at understanding and evaluating the practices of the dry pipeline in Spain focusing on the 1980-1990 period. From a critical perspective, women and gendered norms and hierarchies within the industrial, clinical and academic collective spaces of expertise are acknowledged as central objects of study. Research trajectories, the networks and techniques, skills and authority of women and men and the gendered hierarchy of the laboratory in public and private research are in-depth studied as daily practices of mindful hands.
Isabel M. Gómez Rodríguez is the PhD researcher on this cluster.
María Jesús Santesmases is the PI.
